This is a factory original 914-6 that has received a completed rotisserie restoration. It can best be described as a Porsche "Retro-Rod." This project was done for a Daytona Beach resident. We also purchased a complete 1984 911 Carrrera that was our "donor" vehicle. The car now has a fresh factory DME injected 3.2 built by us to Euro specifications. Also included is the 915 transmission upgraded to Wevo shifting, that of course was completely re-built as well. Every part on the car has either been re-built, re-finished, or replaced with new.
The gauges were sent out for refurbishing/adaptation to the 3.2 engine and 915 transmission. They include: 8K tachometer, 180 mph speedometer, and factory oil pressure and temperature.
As we wanted to achieve a true 911 sound, this exhaust is a combination of 930 headers and a Cayman-style exhaust exiting in the middle. This is a truly original design. During the completion of this portion of the project, we logged over 50 hours.
We completed a full mechanical restoration of this 1985 930 Slantnose including complete engine rebuild, transmission rebuild, suspension and brakes, etc. We are calling this car a "Slantnose Survivor" as the interior remains original including factory 930 S center console and extremely rare Recaro power and heated seats.
This very unique car is one of only 34 "special wishes" hand built factory slantnoses in 1984. It formerly belonged to Ron Rice of Hawaiian Tropic fame, and we restored it to its original condition.
